Choosing The Correct Chair Size
The Primacare Penarth Chair Bed is available in a range of sizes to suit different heights, body shapes and support requirements. If your ideal dimensions fall outside the options shown below, please contact us for a bespoke quotation. In many cases, a bespoke specification does not necessarily increase the cost of your chair.

The overall width of the chair is your chosen seat width plus 9 inches to allow for the armrests (4.5 inches per arm). Overall chair height is calculated by adding the seat height and back height together, then subtracting 3 inches.
When selecting a Bariatric or Supa Bariatric model, please note that Bariatric chairs have a lifting capacity of up to 35 stone, whilst Supa Bariatric models can safely lift users weighing up to 40 stone. The number shown after the model name refers to the seat width.

Pressure Relief
The Primacare Penarth Chair Bed provides pressure-relieving support throughout the entire lying surface rather than just the seating area. This helps improve comfort for users who spend prolonged periods sitting or resting and can support pressure care management plans.
As standard, the Penarth is supplied with Medium Risk Visco pressure-relieving cushioning. For users assessed as being at a higher risk of pressure ulcer development, the chair can be upgraded with a Coolgel pressure-relieving cushion. Please see the Pressure Relief tab for pricing information.
Primacare Penarth Chair Bed Fabric Choices
The Penarth Chair Bed offers a combination of luxurious appearance and practical durability through a carefully selected upholstery system designed for healthcare and domestic use.
Outer fabrics are available from the Cristina Marrone Ultima Collection. Ultima is a high-performance polyurethane upholstery with a soft-touch faux leather finish, offering excellent durability and suitability for heavy-duty use.
Inner contact surfaces are manufactured using Dartex four-way stretch fabrics, allowing users to experience the full benefits of the pressure-relieving cushioning beneath. These fabrics are waterproof, vapour permeable, wipe-clean and available in a variety of attractive colour options.

Delivery & Installation
Your Primacare Penarth Chair Bed includes professional delivery, assembly in the room of your choice and a full demonstration to ensure you are completely confident using your new chair.
All packaging will be removed as part of the installation service. We can also arrange the removal of your existing chair if required. Please see the Removal Service tab for pricing information.
Please allow approximately 5 to 7 weeks for manufacture. Once your chair is ready, we will contact you with ample notice to arrange a convenient delivery date and a four-hour delivery window.
