Trendelenburg Lay Flat Riser Recliner
The standout feature of the Havant is its Trendelenburg lay flat mechanism. Unlike conventional riser recliners, this mechanism allows the chair to recline to approximately 85 degrees, creating an almost completely flat sleeping surface.
This makes the Havant particularly suitable for users who regularly sleep in their chair, require elevated leg positioning or benefit from being positioned close to the recovery position.
The mechanism is frequently specified for users with complex healthcare needs, neurological conditions and situations where carers need rapid repositioning capabilities.
Drop Down Arms for Side Transfers
The Havant is one of the few riser recliners available with optional drop down arms. Choose drop arms on either or both sides of the chair depending on the user’s requirements.
Drop arms make side transfers significantly easier than removable arm systems. They can help simplify transfers between the chair and a bed, wheelchair, transfer board or hoist while reducing physical effort for both users and carers.

Healthcare Fabrics
The Havant’s upholstery uses specialist healthcare fabrics for durability, hygiene and pressure management.
Inner fabrics are vapour permeable Dartex materials, while outer fabrics are from the Highland range by Panaz. These materials are waterproof, breathable and suitable for both domestic and healthcare environments.
