Weight Capacities
The Petite and Compact chair sizes have a maximum user weight capacity of 20 stone (130kg). Medium and Large sizes increase this capacity to 25 stone (160kg).
All chair sizes feature a maximum leg rest lifting capacity of 9 stone (60kg).
Tilt-in-Space Dual Motor Lift & Recline Mechanism
The Seminar Pennan features a heavy-duty Tilt-in-Space dual motor lift and recline mechanism. This advanced system allows the backrest and leg rest to move independently, making it easier to achieve the ideal seating or relaxation position.
The Tilt-in-Space function helps maintain the body’s natural posture by tilting the entire seat whilst keeping the hip, knee and ankle positions more consistent. As a result, pressure points can be reduced and long-term sitting comfort improved.
If you would like to learn more about the different types of riser recliner actions available, please see our Riser Recliner Mechanism Guide.
Variable Angle Lift
Medium and Large sized chairs can be supplied with a choice of rise angles. In addition to the standard 30-degree rise, customers can choose a 20-degree rise or a flatter 10-degree rise.
This feature can help users achieve a more comfortable standing position and allows the chair to be tailored more closely to individual mobility requirements.
Fabric Options
The Seminar Pennan Riser Recliner Chair is upholstered in the attractive Holborn fabric range by Ross Fabrics. There are eight colour options available, allowing you to choose a finish that complements both traditional and contemporary interiors.
Colours include Steel, Charcoal, Mink, Cocoa, Jute, Denim, Aqua and Plum. Fabric samples are available upon request if you would like to compare colours in your own home before placing an order.
